I HATE POLITICS.
There. I said it.
But really, can you hold it against me?
I enjoy history, and learning about how our country has and can change, how the constitution came to be and all- but I am gonna be ALL TOO HAPPY when election day has come and gone.
I am really sick of going onto Facebook and seeing picture after picture, post after post, and comment after comment on ridiculous cartoons, statements, and speeches about candidates, laws, policies, etc.
Do people really think that spreading their opinions around Facebook will actually stop/start anything from happening?
And how does gossiping about our next president (whomever it may end up being- even Mickey Mouse) help the confidence of our nation?
It kinda makes you think about if you actually need Facebook. And then you say, "Hey- No, I REALLY don't". And then you close out that tab, and go on with your day. Then, next time you have five minutes, you are like, "Hmmm....I wonder what is new of Facebook?" Because really, what else does anyone ever do with the internet?
And then I am bombarded again with peoples arrogant opinions, un-kindly remarks, and overbearing views.
Sorry about that.
It's late, and it was on my mind. Which is a shame, because I had a GREAT saturday.
We packed the car full (meaning, us, baby cakes, the dogs, a stroller and food) and explored one of the many lakes surrounding Lincoln. It was a SUCCESS! A wildlife management park that allows for hunting, off-leash training AND has a lake? Ya. Needless to say, no one was disappointed.
Well, except Scout and Penny- who were upset when they got home and had to get a bath to get their grim off them. Really- Scout, who is mostly white, looked black.
But at least we had fun. =]
