Honestly.
I especially had this thought with our late puppy, little Napoleon.
One day he was irritating the oldies out of Penny, just like a younger sibling should, and I thought, "wow. If you could talk, you would be so annoying."
And with that, I sincerely thank Heavenly Father for not giving dogs the gift of tongue.
Really, we all give our pets voices and speak for them. Just take that hyper puppy that whines to go outside, pulls on its leash, and states at you while you eat- and give it words.
You will probably agree with me.
(They won't all end up cute like the K9 Advantix commercial)
