Things tend to escalate.

On Sunday we only had 3 kids in sunbeams (yes, those sunbeams I love to talk about).
It is a nice small group, and are soo much easier to handel than the 8 of them together.
Although they also finish tasks super early, leaving for even more time. So, we go to the gym and let them run around for the last 10 minutes of class.

It's great. They run around like a bunch of monkeys on caffeine.
I had the genios idea to have them race. After 2-3 times of this, I told them to hop across the gym. They got about half way, and it turned into running.
Then I decided to stop the running, and see who could jump the highest.
Somehow that too translated into racing across the gym.
It was pretty great. And it taught me one thing:

Things escalate quickly.

Like when Sariah get's angry.
She gives you one chance to fix the problem. Then mercy is in the dust.

And Scouts energy level.
Really- it just never ends.
Yes, that is a picture of Scout. Chasing the Canadian geese migrating in the sky.

And bad tempers.
Oh, how those escalate quickly. One bad driver, and bye-bye happy days.

And December.
Why is it that no matter how little you did in November and no matter how little you have planned in December, that it ALWAYS ends up being the craziest, busiest month?

Waist size.
Like seriously- it is really unfair how easy it is that they escalate but are so slow to decrease?

I have a theory about it.
Actually I don't. But I thought this post would sound more complete if I do. But I am sure it has something to do with Mall's. Possibly even Robin and How I Met Your Mother.

But really, things escalate too quickly in life. December came too quickly. Life changes too quickly. People can't ever seem to stay happy long enough to enjoy life. It's a peculiar conundrum. Particularly technology. Has anyone else noticed the major leap technology has taken? And especially by how much it takes over our lives?

Anyways, I will leave you with this:

See? Things escalate so quickly.

The End.

    1. I let her walk around. That normally fixes things when she is in the stroller.
