What are you supposed to talk about on Thursdays?
Not quite Fridays, they sorta get shafted...
Poor Thursdays. We should all give them some love.
But anyways. I have nothing on my mind to talk about.
Other than the fact that Joe is traveling around the state of Nebraska for a few days taking samples of soil for his research.
And all I can think about is how much I DON'T want him to go. But he has to. So I have to be a strong, supportive wife and encourage him.
And I think about how about a year ago, I was talking to a friend who was gonna spend about 6 months away from her husband. But on finding out they had been married for 5 years, I was like, "Oh, so it's not that bad". Because somewhere in my young, innocent, mind, I thought that once you had been married so long, it made it easier. How stupid she must have thought I was, with my one year of marriage.
I have been away from Joe before- but definitely, the longer we are married, the worst it gets. For sure.
So, I celebrated/mourned this morning by making chocolate pancakes (sorry, I didn't think to take pictures- I will do that tomorrow). It is a perfect way to cheer-yourself up. Only one problem. He hasn't left yet. Kinda awkward, I know. But it's okay. They still made me feel better. Mmmmm.
Oh, and a picture for pictures sake.
